Using Tercet

Why only three tasks?

Because a list of thirty is a list you've already given up on. Three is the number you can actually finish, every single day — and finishing every day is what compounds. Tercet is built on that one principle, which is why the limit is a rule the app keeps, not a setting you fight.

What happens to tasks I don't finish?

Nothing bad. When the day rolls over, unfinished tasks move back to your backlog — they're never deleted. Finished ones retire with honor. You pick tomorrow's three from a clean slate.

Why can't I swap out a task I've already finished?

By design. If finishing a task freed up its slot, three a day would quietly become five, then eight, then the endless list you came here to escape. A finished task stays finished. If you ticked one by mistake, press and hold it and choose "Mark as not done".

I finished all three. Can I add more?

You can add as much as you like — to the backlog, ready for tomorrow. Today, though, is complete. Everything past your three is a bonus, and the best thing you can do with a finished day is go live it.

How do streaks work?

Finish all three in a day and your streak grows by one. Miss a day and it resets. There's no freeze, no repair, no paying to protect it — the streak is only worth something because it's honest.

How do I add the widgets?

For the Home Screen: press and hold any empty spot on your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for Tercet. For the Lock Screen: press and hold your Lock Screen, tap Customize, choose the Lock Screen, tap the widget area, and pick Tercet. (Widgets ship with the App Store release.)

Purchase & trial

How does the free trial work?

Your first 14 days are completely free — the whole app, nothing held back, no card required up front. When the trial ends, Tercet asks for a one-time $9.99 purchase to continue. The lock always lands at the start of a new day, never in the middle of one.

Is it really one payment? No subscription?

Really. $9.99 once, through the App Store, and Tercet is yours. No monthly fee, no premium tier, no ads.

What happens to my tasks if my trial expires?

They're safe and waiting. Nothing is deleted, ever. Unlock whenever you're ready and everything is exactly where you left it.

I bought Tercet but it's asking me to pay again.

Tap Restore purchase on that screen — it checks your Apple ID with the App Store and unlocks immediately. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you bought it with. If it still doesn't unlock, email us.

How do I get a refund?

App Store purchases are refunded by Apple, not by developers — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides these, but they're generally reasonable about recent purchases.

Data

Where is my data stored? Does it sync?

Everything lives on your iPhone, in the app, and nowhere else — that's also why there's no account to create. It doesn't sync between devices today. If that changes, it will be optional and the privacy policy will say so first.

What do you collect about me?

Nothing. No analytics, no tracking, no account. The full details — all of them this short — are in the privacy policy.
